I almost suspect this piece to be a joke. I saw this movie and it was terrible in every regard. The concept is lame, the acting is terrible, there’s very, very little to explore in terms of hazards related to a chairlift, and it’s overall a campy film that tries to play itself straight.

I assume that the EA on his throat stands for East Atlanta, but that is the EA games logo. Why, Gucci Mane, why?

Man, you get Jenn Wasner up in here doin the bass stuff, maybe Jeremiah Green (from Modest Mouse) on drums, and I dunno, Justin Vernon to be their roadie, and we’ve got all the indie that can possibly exist in one place. Probably resulting in some kind of quantum event or some shit.

They haven’t put out a good project as a whole in a long time, sure, but there have been a lot of great releases that keep the Wu from being just a pure nostalgia act: Wu Massacre, Cuban Linx 2, 12 Reasons To Die, Czarface...
