i'm with you on this, a lot of workplaces stick by IE for the group policy controls... if they disable installing software, then you're pretty much stuck with your stock browser

nm tried again and it does in fact download in the background, however yet to get an app to install correctly (unkown sources and everything in correct config... i've installed Applanet and Swype Betas before so i'm not sure what the problem is)

downloaded two apps, neither of them would install on my stock Evo... and you can only download apps when the app is active i think... and when you click Buy & Download in your browser, you have to hit refresh in the Appstore app for it to show up in the list
