Yeah, I’m not a NASCAR fan, but this is pretty cool.

I was in the same boat as you for a very long time, but once you own an impact driver I guarantee you won’t be saying that and will be cursing your stubbornness. They can easily drive 3.5" screws into solid lumber and weigh half as much. Good luck doing that with a drill.

A driver is not the same as a drill. They are different tools with different uses. A driver is extremely useful for driving LOTS of screws and is much faster than a drill.

The set for $199 is a brushless motor drill. The set you pointed out is not. The difference in the motor is a big difference in battery life and power.

Ahahaha, yes.
“I CAN’T BELIEVE THE UNIVERSE DID THIS TO ME!”
My favorite part is how he angrily exits his car, throwing his hands to the heavens as though the whole thing were an act of God.
It’s at least going to have the same level of autonomy as the current Model S but I think they are going they have a surprise in store. There is definitely going to be something significant in “part 2". I’m also expecting a refreshed S here soon.
The scariest and most dangerous level of all. Level 5 can’t come soon enough.
They’re just copy editing the Formula 1 and Miata articles now.
hella stanced?
Good question...but I imagine Tesla can yank the warranty and tech support on those cars without any repercussion if they saw it happening. Now who would want to buy a Tesla with no backup, especially since all the repairs and updates are over the cloud?
Tucker built about 55 cars. Tesla has already sold about 100,000 cars.
Not going to happen simply because of the political bullshit the individual EU nations will saddle production with.
$7500 tax credits + state credits is a pretty good incentive to get in line early. Also, the CA buyers will probably alright, but everyone else might be in for a wait. The amount of Teslas you see in Silicon Valley is on par with something like a 5 series, so I suspect if geography comes into play for order preference…
Meh.
One of the few reasons to actually be happy about residing in Indiana. No stupid front plates’s killing the original design team’s vision (well, on some cars) and intent.
Some cars, especially sports and super cars, look idiotic with plate (euro/jp or US tag) tacked on the front. It almost is always an after thought…
Every day I walk out to my car I thank baby Jesus they aren’t here.
I caught that as well. I’m thinking that matte gray one with the dark (Carbon?) wheels is probably the high-end trim, so perhaps they give that one the Model S handles to look a little more pricey.
I was starting to think I was the only one who noticed the Model S door handles on the gray one. I was thinking the same thing as you, probably an earlier prototype.
