I likewise believe it is not a choice, which makes its evolutionary implications all the more interesting. Oh well, it was nice to meet someone who can have a conversation without mocking and debasing the counter.

On the second point, it could serve legitimate function (homosexuality that is) but we are programmed

That is an interesting take I haven't heard anyone offer. I can imagine a myriad of consequences from this, but homosexuality is an odd trait such that it isn't passed on genetically.

I never said it was a realistic problem, just that most people logically endorse behavior that could be adopted by everyone.

True, I was just pointing out that people typically endorse behavior that benefits the most people as possible. World peace, affordable goods, equality etc.

Well, family dynamics is a different debate. But homosexuality leads to no offspring at all.

Extinction is a positive?

Am I missing something?

Like I said, probably not reasonable, but people typically endorse behavior that could be adopted by most without major negative consequences.

Not that it is reasonable, but rationally, extinction of the species could be a reason.

Why would you think that?

Hmm, with access to a database to almost all research in the world marijuana, thc, cannabidiol etc. brought up probably less than 100 "real" articles combined. Keep in mind that saccharine, aspartame, caffeine etc. have tens of thousands of "real" research done on them. I get it, you like weed, doesn't mean you know

As someone who has actually done chemical research and had access to all scientific research done across the world allow me to assure you; it is unknown. So while people might have fun using it, they have no idea what effects and side effects it may have.

I am for legalization, after it has been studied. Like I said, there are a few studies but nothing resembling scientific certainty. Weed could be the wonder medicine or a fast-track to cancer, point is, we don't know.

Weed (scientifically) is almost wholly unknown. I know you will find an article or two, but most substances we take (alcohol for instance) have had thousands of studies done. Not too mention its an unregulated market so you don't really know its contents/purity.

See, the justifications you offered seem to have merit to me.

Keep in mind, I have also smoked "the pot" I just don't see how not subjecting oneself to drugs makes someone "narrow-minded". In my opinion, it just means they stick to their beliefs.

Wait, so passing on mood-altering chemicals makes someone narrow-minded?

Damn!

Although I have not seen Game of Thrones, CGI is a tough effect to balance. Some do it horribly: Star Wars 1-3. I find that falling on the side of real life is best case (LOTR) or go real life altogether (Braveheart). *2 cents*
