I wouldn’t even say that’s a downside to just off-contract carriers. Sure, you can take your VZW out of the country, but you’ll pay their outrageous international data rates. IMO, that’s not even an option. Unless you’re on a carrier that offers free international (like T-Mobile, in some countries), then you probably…
Critical security updates are often backported, although I’ll admit - not always. But, they did exist when the item was purchased.
Nothing stops you from never updating the device after you purchase it and enjoying it just as it was when you purchased it until the hardware craps out.
How can these folks advertise iPhone 6S compatibility? There’s no specs out for the iPhone 6S, right? It’s not even confirmed to exist yet.

She helped!
Doesn’t have Siri. Not interested.
Hands down some of the simplest routers to configure, even in complex situations.

Might use this to purchase items I actually want, since I don’t use anything from any of the brands currently offering Dash buttons.
Another tip, applicable to NYC, and probably elsewhere where the renter pays the agents’ commissions:
I don’t understand anyone who says that this is a good deal. iPhones, for example, receive a $450 subsidy with a 2-year VZW contract. So, now, if you buy a new 128GB iPhone 6, instead of it costing you $400 (and a 2-year commitment), it’ll cost you $850 and no commitment. But because they essentially extend 0%…
Anyone know if the “smartwatch” fee includes the Apple Watch?
Very cool! Maybe I should take my girlfriend to PR before she ditches T-Mo haha
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her phone. It’s a brand new iPhone 6 Plus, and she had a 5 or 5S before that on the same network and had the same issues.
For someone who travels a lot to countries that have T-Mobile service - it’s probably a great deal. Although I still maintain that, all things considered, most folks are better off just picking up a local SIM card if they’re going to the same country over and over again. Unless the local carrier with the best coverage…
That’s an interesting comparison - LTE vs. 3G or lower. I tend to focus on who has service and who doesn’t, but I’ll start paying attention to my girlfriend’s (T-Mobile) quality of service compared to mine. Although I can’t really say I’ve noticed many areas where I don’t have great LTE on Verizon - but I spend most…
That’s great! Do you happen to know if that’s a T-Mobile network, or a partner network? I believe in Mexico it’s not actually their network. Not really sure how that all works.
Yeah I’ve had friends on AT&T as well, and I’m not sure I buy the “most coverage” claim either - or any coverage maps for that matter. My experience just comes from being on Verizon for the past decade+ and traveling with friends/family, who, throughout the years, have been on every other major carrier. I’ve noticed…
It’s spotty is all that I’m saying. I’ve been on Verizon for over a decade now, and through the years have had friends and family on every other major carrier, and I can say that, without a doubt, Verizon has the best network. It often has coverage where most other carriers do not. There has been one occasion where I…
