I don't expect anything from anyone. It's amazing how commenters on here can turn a simple opinion (which was the entire purpose of this article - to get users' opinions) into an attack on someone.

Ha, well, I guess it's different for everyone. As I said, I wouldn't want to receive one from someone close to me, it does seem quite impersonal.
I assume they have some sort of prototype of this.
Exactly as the post said, it's incredibly impersonal, so it would probably be somewhat offensive to receive this from someone really close to you. While they're very useful, if my best friend gave one of these to me for my birthday or something, his obvious laziness would likely overshadow the usefulness of the gift…
They may be annoying when you're going through your e-mail, but they shouldn't be distracting you during the day. How can you possibly focus on any kind of work if every single e-mail distracts you?
It'd be impossible to guarantee that the color matched the entire edge. I don't think a harsh edge would give that area the soft feel it's supposed to have. I agree that the fading isn't perfect, but it was likely their best option. I think it looks awesome on low-contrast art, but high-contrast art, particularly…
They're likely doing that because the color they use for that background may not always match up with the album art, so the album cover could potentially have really harsh lines around it and it wouldn't flow as well into the artwork.
I reallllllly hope this means it'll be phased out on iOS as well. Landscape is completely crippled because of that.
For redeeming iTunes gift cards, right? The option isn't there for me either. I'm on a Hackintosh, so I'm wondering if somehow it's disabled because of that. I haven't tried it on my MBA yet. Or it's being rolled out slowly (the store is really web-based, afaik, so it updates more frequently than iTunes itself).
Ok.
Interesting, is that what those are? Do they form some pattern unique to the theater? Or do they serve a different purpose?
I don't doubt that you're experiencing a problem. But since I don't experience that same lag on a much older MBA running ML, I'm assuming there is some other issue plaguing your rMBP, which you confirm when you say that you're experiencing the issue throughout the entire UI.
You have some other problem, it should be much, much faster.
Just ask one of the thousands of people who didn't have power and/or Internet for the days and weeks following Sandy.
Ah ok, makes sense.
If I had enough money that $35k + $500/movie didn't seem like a lot to me, then I'd certainly buy this.
HopStop.
I don't think I'm in the minority. I think that you are part of a very vocal minority. iPhone 5 sales are doing fine, and I haven't heard a single person outside of Giz and the likes complaining about it in real life.
Yes, it removed lots of info from the maps. No debate there. For what it's worth, though, for at least mass transit, there are other solutions that are better than Google Maps.
