Seriously...
Seriously...
They lack an ecosystem that people like. What sort of cohesiveness are they selling? What's compelling me, as a consumer, to buy a Windows phone, a Surface, a Windows 8 desktop maybe, and possibly an xbox?
How far back to you want me to go? Recently, the iPhone (and therefor the smartphone as we know it), the iPad, very high quality displays (in the iPhone, iPad, and now MacBooks). We can keep going back and talk about MP3 players and digital music sales, too, if you want. Or we can keep going back...
I'd hold off the excitement until we see how Windows 8 does. Metro might *look* nice, but I've yet to see Microsoft prove that they really do care about putting the user first. I/we have been let down before by their empty promises in the past. They also lack the ecosystem, which is key. If nothing else, it's at…
I'm far from an ignorant consumer.

Because I've always wanted to carry around fortune cookie fortune sized notes.
Find out. Video it all. Post back.
Yeah, I absolutely see the irony. Perhaps my original post didn't lead on to that. Again, it just seemed to me like they were taking ownership of the idea. Perhaps it's a difference in tone between the tweet, Giz article, and source article.

Go ahead! If you come across any of my sites, you're more than welcome to use specific CSS to style specific elements. CSS and HTML are obviously publicly visible, and legality aside, I typically make no assumption of security.
I see 14 lines of common CSS.
Because the DNC definitely invented the "Here let me list all the X's that Y does, oh wait, there are none, here's an empty list, because Y doesn't do X" joke.
Oh so maybe a better question is have you ever used it on the iPhone? Android's version is lightyears ahead of the iPhone's.
Not sure what the 17" weighed. The retina MBP is 4.46, the 15" MBP is 5.6, and the 13" MBA is 2.96. I hadn't looked up the weight of the new MBP yet, so that'd probably be bulkier than I'd like. It'd have to be one gorgeous screen for me to pick it up.
Boom! Look at the business possibilities this opens up! Talk about economic stimulus!
Ever use it on Android?
I'm not entirely sure. That would make some sense. It's even more upsetting that it was never updated, then.
