What is it with this fetish for fisheye lenses in the skydiving community? Makes me queasy.

You'd think they'd give her money back after that, even if it wasn't 100% their fault.
I see this thread has stirred up quite a bit of discussion, so in the interest of saving some time, I won't be replying one by one, and instead will be making some general comments:
Ya know, I haven't spoken out about this before, but for some reason, reading it here just pushed me over the edge:
While this story is somewhat interesting, the real question is: Do AOL employees use AOL software?
They don't need security, the place is booby trapped with shattered dreams and AOL CDs.
I'm going to start carrying these around with me and require everyone with a crackpot idea they want to "bring me in on" fill it out before speaking.
I.. guess? Or just rename Instagram "Facebook Camera" and capture both market shares with a single app? Or "Facebook's Instagram" or something for anyone still looking for Instagram.
Interesting. Flash is bundled with Chrome, so it should be updated whenever Chrome is. YouTube is moving towards an HTML5 player, so that'll help a lot. It's interesting that Chromium works better for you, though. You could try the dev/beta channels of Chrome. You may be able to install them, since Chrome is…
lulz
Yeah, it sounds like that might be the case. I don't deal with much Java content, and have never had an issue with Flash. What sort of issues do you encounter?
Are you referring to AIX? Which is Unix based?
Was just about to post this.
LOL one MILLION dollars.
Why in God's name would the browser render anything on top of page content? I haven't tried Axis, but that sounds insane.
As far as I know, Chrome does not prerender every search result. Prerendering is relatively new, and not always used. Prefetching, on the other hand, is used a bit more (I believe), which essentially caches the assets for a given URL, but without rendering it or executing any JS, which means no standard analytics…
Yeah, it'd be awfully lucky if neither party was injured.
I wish I could dance like him.
Are you claiming that Windows and *nix systems are identical, save for their UI's? That couldn't be more wrong.
yep. it's really not a debatable question, lol. One can argue about software availability, or UI, or ease of use, and so on, but from an architectural standpoint, *nix based systems are simply more stable, better at managing memory, and so on.
