Ha, just made the same point. My thoughts exactly.

When I first read this, I was disgusted, as any sane person would be. But the more that I think about it - the more I wonder if this is how things should be. The mere act of looking at something probably shouldn't be illegal. Looking at a picture of someone murdering someone doesn't make you as guilty as the…
Yeah - one major one that always sticks out for me is forward/back gestures in Safari. We have it on the Mac, and it's glorious (the entire page swipes in/out of view - it's awesome). Even without the animations, though, why no forward/back gesture?
I'm sorry? I was simply describing how the gas/oil futures markets worked. There are certainly legitimate reasons to purchase futures (heck, investment is a fine reason - but it drives prices up).
Interesting - thanks for the info. This is obviously something I'm not very well educated on either, but I do have a basic understanding of the concepts. If I recall correctly, oil futures used to be regulated - only certain companies (oil companies? maybe transportation?) could purchase them. Then it was…
Some regulation is fine. Blocking alternative power sources for political reasons is not. That's the line, for me.
I thought the price of crude was highly dependent on futures? Or was I mistaken in that? Investors think the price of oil will rise, so they buy oil several months out in advance and are willing to pay a higher price, because they think the prices will rise. Then, when it comes time to actually sell that oil, the…

The environment is more important than humans! Suck it up! /s
Note to all: If you text goatse to 911, you're probably going to get a visit from your local PD.
I can see going from the 2 to the 3/new being a letdown, but I went from a first generation, so it was still lighter, faster, thinner, and more awesome in basically every way. I'd strongly recommend that jump. You might be somewhat let down if you're going from a 2 to a 3, but the only real gain there is the screen…
But do we get that sweet panorama hack back?
But what is balance? It's a concept that we've invented to describe things, just like every other term. In reality, things are happening, and that's all we can really say. Everything else is us (humans) trying to understand, internalize, and define it. Humans are a part of nature, and as humans, we assume that…
haha that's funny - I read the first sentence and thought you were referring to the iPhone. There's this wild difference in how people perceive their battery life (or perhaps the actual devices experience wildly different battery life). I used to think that my iPhone battery life sucked, but so did my HTC Incredible…
But how do we know that this isn't the natural course of life? Nature created humans, so simply because we're the only animal that does something (destroys surrounding nature) doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't meant to be. We're the only animal that speak - does that make speech unnatural?
It makes my decision easy as well - the iPhone is my only option.
Interesting. If it's 4" even, I could possibly see that working. But much larger than that and it gets too big for me to comfortably carry around. I really don't have an issue on my iPhone, and have used friend's larger Android devices. In fact, that was one of the driving forces behind me jumping ship to the…
Sounds like a UI issue more than anything else...
For gaming, it probably is too small. I'm not saying that anyone should *stop* making larger screens. To each his own. I just hope that Apple keeps the 3.5" display or doesn't go much larger. I'd prefer the small form factor over the more screen real estate.
That was a bit of sarcasm...
