Our Cubs helped out on this point tonight.

I saw her name when I recently watched The Killing of a Chinese Bookie.

They are really fucking brilliant.

Once again Chevy is the turd in my punch bowl.

Since I never see Ronna and Beverly mentioned in this feature or its comment section, I'm taking it upon myself to mention it every two weeks, following new episodes. When Jessica Chaffin and Jamie Denbo are on, and their guest is game, it's the funniest fucking shit in the world. I got into it about 6 months ago

Lol.
Must be all the goddamn audio commentaries. I feel like I always hear him called "Bill", except when they announce his name at the Emmys and such.

He was good in Joe, but neither his performance nor the film really lived up to my expectations. Tye Sheridan was great, as he was in Mud, the far superior film that gets paired with Joe in discussion.
I think Joe just had a really weak second act. I'd rather have read the Larry Brown. He's swell.

I'm already underwhelmed!

Vaughan is maybe my favorite vocalist ever, but that Beatles cover album she did was really underwhelming. I think I just didn't like the arrangements at all.
It was also pretty late in life for her though, and the album sounds like it was a way to keep working while taking it somewhat easy…

True, but the profile level is similar to that which those fellas worked at for years before getting leading roles.

Ha, this Inventory could've been languishing for the past year.

Yeah, that's like tossing Bill Macy or, if he were around, PSH on the list.

I'd point out the fact he was so good in Deadwood that David Milch used him twice.

She was good in Listen Up, Philip as well.

I find the opposite true, in that some good or decent comedies look fucking TERRIBLE by way of their trailers, due to the mass marketing formula.

Absolutely this.

I'm only1/3 into it but it definitely lives up to the hype. In fact I was hooked with the first story, written when she was a teenager.

What a wonderfully smashable face he has!

I'm taking a break from Clarice Lispector's collected stories, which is amazing, to read The Dying Grass, the new William T. Vollmann doorstopper. I've enjoyed it so far.

Jesus fucking Christ. A dozen derelicts hating on a band they'd never even heard before this.
