I agree 100%, but with a caveat.
Everything I've read about Valve suggests that people work on whatever they want to work on. If no one is working on a AAA title, then that means no one wants to. Do I really want to play a game made by people who don't want to make games?

But that's the beauty of it. No one will know what to think of it. Can you imagine the confusion? Especially if they do the announcement on the 1st and then just stop talking about it for a while.
