Nooses convey the “death” of cable tv. Is that really that hard to understand?

Letting someone shot you before you’re allowed to kill them is a very good way to be shot to death. I haven’t watched the video either, but if the guy raises a gun, he’s fair game.

That’s the one part that doesn’t horrify me. IF a person needs to be shot, they should be shot until there’s no longer a chance of them firing back. You don’t just fire once or twice, because as long as he’s standing, there’s a chance he has enough strength left to get off a shot at you.

This all begs the question: If you are convicted of a crime and do your time, should it follow you for the rest of your life? Does it depend on the crime?

Right. Twenty, thirty years ago, there weren’t a whole lot of workers with masters degrees. So if your company needed one of them, it made financial sense to help an employee already loyal to you get it. Now, everyone and their grandma has a PHD, so there’s no point in paying for a worker’s education, since you can

Except it kind of is “We’re going to take down your shit if we don’t like you or your politics.” You might agree with Firewatch doing it because PewDiePie was a racist asshole, but this is a very bad precedent to set regarding DMCA take-downs. If Firewatch can do it because they don’t like someone’s comments, what’s

You have tons of rights to do all sorts of shit. That doesn’t necessarily mean you should do that shit.

Vita has a bunch of great games. Not too many of them are exclusives, with a bunch of overlap between it and the PS3/4 and PC, but it’s the only way to play FFX/X-II or Undertale or most other games on the go.

I used to listen to Nightvale every morning when my commute was longer. It’s only about 10 minutes right now though, so not really any time.

I’m a big fan of everything by Pacific Northwest Stories, but especially The Black Tapes, which just started season three a couple of weeks ago.

Can’t find it on Youtube, but

You forgot to report why those 90 republicans voted no. Republicans wanted to raise the debt celing for 18 months, meaning it wouldn’t expire until after midterm elections. Doing it right now would have meant nobody would pay any attention to it, and they could point at the disaster relief as their reasoning.

Right, that’s what I’m talking about. This idea some people seem to have that needlessly antagonizing the police will somehow make your life easier.

Right. Cop thinks I match the description of a killer on the loose? Sure, search my car as much as you want. No bloody bodies in there. I know I have the right to say no, but it’s a lot more important that I don’t waste their time, and let them get back to hunting that killer on the loose.

Right, I’ve seen a couple of articles like this, and most of them boil down to “Be an asshole to cops”. They’ll advise you to do things like keep saying “Am I under arrest? Am I under arrest?” over and over again, be actively confrontational with cops no matter what the circumstance, and basically never talk to a cop.

Obviously it has limitations, but endorsing the POtUS isn’t one of them.

As someone pointed out to Lana Delgado yesterday, “humanitarian parole” is the correct term, not “humanitarian visa”.

It’s humanitarian, but it’s not urgent. From what I understand, she could apply for a normal visa to take care of that kind of thing, but humanitarian parole is only for special cases, and not usually what you’d apply for if you’re just visiting to attend a funeral.

Is humanitarian parole typically given to people to attend funerals? I thought it was more for urgent humanitarian things, like caring for a sick relative or obtaining medical treatment.
