Speaking of Guy Pearce's supporting roles, fans of Mr. Pearce should check out Animal Kingdom, if they haven't already. Its a phenomenal crime drama, and he is just perfect.

The only good thing about this movie was the completely naked chick at the beginning. I mean, I'm a fan of much of Rodriguez's work, but this movie was just crap.

Ditto on the love for Gina Carano in 'Haywire'. I was smitten with her, too.

No, Katie Holmes didn't ruin the first movie. It was ruined by its overblown third act.

I, too, think each of the four Alien movies have a different dynamic. Horror movie, action movie, American independent film, and foreign film is how I've always thought of it. I think each one is great for its own reasons.

I haven't seen it in a while, but I've always remembered the beheading of Mills' wife as Mills' punishment for earlier exhibited wrath on the part of Mills towards John Doe, and then Mills' murder of Doe becomes Doe's punishment for his own envy.

I remember the longboxes fondly. I used to cut them up and put them on my wall. Although not with those plastic longboxes. Remember those, with the cd & jewel case in the bottom part and the booklet in the top part?

Friday night: went to see Warrior. Fantastic. Then watched Letterman when I got home.

The trailer for the Wolverine movie was extremely successful at obfuscating the huge amount of suck contained in the movie. Good God,was I excited about seeing that movie. I had hope that it would restore the reputation of the whole X-Men movie franchise after the pile of crap that was X3. When it turned out to be one…
