You can't disable physx, you can only switch it to low which does not help. It does not help with disabling Xfire either. The only think that makes the game playable is oddly turning hyperthreading off.

Its more than just me. That forum has nineteen pages of people with the exact same problem. It seems to be a problem with PhyX.

How about actually being able to play the game? Looks like a pretty big issue that Gearbox has failed to even acknowledge. I have and i7 2600K and two 6970's and there are places where I get 17 FPS!

This game kinda reminds me of Red Faction: Armageddon. The UI, some of the monsters, guns, and the of the equipment laying around all look pretty similar.

Yeah Stardock definitely hates Win8. I figured when I saw that they developed an application that brings back the windows button in Win8.
