This one drives me CRAZY! You can hear really smart people mangling that one. UGH! Sometimes, just to be difficult, if I hear that in a converstaion, a few sentences later, I will use the phrase correctly. I’m usually not like that.

This is a classic. Hard to beat that.
Oh please. Using your phone as an alarm clock has nothing to do how rested I will feel in the morning. It’s the screen time --allegedly. Using your phone as an alarm does not automatically mean you get “screen time” before bed.
I think it’s a bit sad that there are so many of these celebs, wealthy, catered to, etc and they go through life so bitchy, unhappy and feeling it’s okay to treat other people rudely.
I’m all for free-enterprise, but come’on. Wages have stagnated and we wonder why companies aren’t selling products. We all know that Americans don’t save their money. So give them a damn raise. Its makes for happy workers who will go and spend that raise on more...... stuff the companies are trying to sell. It’s not…
I recommend a CPO Cayman 981. I picked up a two-year old lease return this summer for my mid-life crisis car and I couldn’t be happier. Thrilled that I actually own something like that.
I was always on the fence with this car and was disappointed when my dad told me they were pretty much a VW. The shape has grown on me over the years.
It takes a while. I’m on year 5 and I still can get sad between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day -- mostly for my kids, since the routines and traditions have had to adapt to two houses. (I am not a big fan of Christmas since it was usually ugly and stressful growing up, but I did start to enjoy it when I had kids.) It…
Considering how driven, focused and competitive profressional athletes are, it surprises me that he can walk away like that. I don’t blame him at all, but wow.
And haven’t three of the losses come on field goals on the last play of the game (or almost last play)? It’s been a bit painful watching their leads slip away.
Sorry, not buying this one. It strikes me one of those USA Today front page “trend” story. They find a handful of people who are doing X and suddenly it’s a hottest trend going. So formulaic. Hey, did you ever see that episode of Three’s Company where the whole thing was based on this huge mis-understanding?
Sadly, there are several guys in rec leagues who forget that it is not Game 7. Your scenario is what motivated a bunch of us to create a invitation-only, private pick-up. We rent out the ice and 15 week blocks and those who don’t fit the culture don’t get asked back. We’ve been doing it for 8 years.
If it wasn’t for Fraser’s bullet-proof hair, Lemieux might have succeeded.
I always appreciated the Boxter, but when the Cayman came out — whoa! I really liked everything about it, especially the styling cues of the much older Porsches.
Indeed. I’m thinking about selling my PSLs and buying two new ones in the lower level. More expensive, for sure, but also more enjoyable.
Timely story.
I never really paid attention to car color trends until I owned a dark green Ford Explorer (which I guess is the herd equivalent of a silver accord.) I read an article once that suggested green fell way out of favor during Vietnam but re-emerged in the 90s as environmental “green” issues got more press.
Right on. I’ve only ever had one new car. The rest were used and driven to the end of their lives. My mid-life crisis car I bought this summer was a two-year old lease return, which made it within my budget. I can’t really imagine buying a vehicle new.
I’ve taken my teen girls to an NFL game without any issues, and while I haven’t witnessed any fights in the upper level at a Panthers game, there is certainly a lot of drunken bafoonery. I started going to games about three years ago and was surprized at the level of intoxication.
Didn’t live in NC back then, but have heard plenty of stories from those who did.
