I absolutely hated Bush; I didn’t think it was possible to hate a politician more than I hated him. And during the nadir of the Trump years, found myself actually missing him.

Eh, in terms of bad presidents, Bush 2 was still better than at least Nixon or Andrew Johnson. Debatable on whether he was better than Hoover or Wilson. Not great, but within the realm of normalcy.

Cruz thinks the second amendment applies in every public space to the point where people, even those untrained in firearms use be able to open carry at airports. There’s actually centuries of law going back to 11th century England where restrictions on the public display of weapons is enforced.

I think its because ( And I never-ever thought I would say this ) he is comparatively “decent” compared to the orange flaming piece of human excrement that became the next Republican president. I thought Bush was the absolute worst president we ever had. Then Trump came along and said hold my beer.

You know they can’t do that...   Something something security reasons.  They are all about cutting wasteful spending, but wants us to fund his private security detail in airports.

Not to mention if there’s an honest to God security threat, there’s nothing stopping police or paid security from escorting him now. Why do we need a law that says cops can (must?) escort him at airports? Is it illegal now?

Let’s hope Cruz gets voted out in the next election cycle. Then even if this legislation passes with his amendment, he won’t benefit from it.

Ah, speaking of Graham, I’d think of anyone who would support Cruz on this, it would be him. If you recall, Trump supporters came at him hard when he briefly, very briefly, tried to turn his back on Trump after the election.

He can have security escort as long as he has to stand in line with the rest of us. Something about representing the people, or whatnot.

Shouldnt be an issue the TSA should eliminate any threat at the search.
