How Lancia went from creating incredible cars like this:

One thing came to mind right away. Lots of GM stuff in here already, so I’ll contribute one more:

I would have four nominees wearing the Mustang badge alone:

Good choice. The European Capri we got from 70-77 was great, the fox-body Capri was the best looking fox-chassis car, and then... that little FWD convertible turd showed up...

Wow, so top of the article is a photo of a Cadillac XLR, but no one mentions the Cadillac Sixteen:

The Nissan IDx, particularly the Nismo.

Oh God. No question, Mercury Capri.

The Lexus SC430 is considered by many to be “the worst car of all time”, not only because of its lack of athletic prowess, but mainly because it was the follow up to the SC300, which was essentially a Mk4 Supra in a sport jacket.

Delorean

My brother and I debate the merits of the BMW E9x v. E46, but agree post E9x, the 3- (and now 4-) series is mostly crap.

The biggest disappointment in car history is that all the nifty cars are either too expensive (so only old guys can afford them), or bought up by posers (and subsequently become too expensive because of availability)...and are then driven like little old ladies (NOT from Pasadena) are behind the wheel, if they are

Yeah, I was going to add that, but forgot the engine model that is so commonly swapped. Could have been a poor man’s Lotus Else.

Yet another question to which the Vega is the answer. A sound idea thoroughly kneecapped by cost-cutting, bad engineering, and corporate politics. I have a soft spot for the Vega having ridding around in one as a kid, but they’ve definitely earned their reputation as one of GM’s biggest mistakes and one of the worst

The MRS, or 3rd gen MR2 would have been a fine Mazda Miata competitor if the MR2 Turbo had never existed. But since the MR2 Turbo was a thing, the 3rd Gen MR2 would always be saddled with the criticism that it was underpowered. Didn’t help that the car is woefully lacking in storage space. Enthusiasts would probably

To answer the headline as-written, my biggest disappointment was a test drive of a new (I believe 2019) Subaru outback. Before the test drive, the missus and I both thought were were inclined to buy it as her daily family hauler. Everything about the first few minutes of the test drive was just a huge disappointment.

It may be premature to suggest this, but I suspect the Lexus IS500 will be regarded poorly...

2013 Dodge Dart? Could have been a small, RWD sporty but still practical car but it looks like garbage on ice.

I'm still bummed about the discontuation of the Mazda5.  It was the right sized vehicle for family hauling with near minivan space in a compact car footprint. Also the 2010-2018 was the only production car with Mazda's Nagare design language.  A Skyactiv engine and 6 speed automatic would have addressed the horsepower

The FORD MUSTANG MACH-E

Too many to name.
