I sat in a 2000GT once and was AMAZED at how small they are. The windscreen is literally 10 inches from your face. Sadly, I didn't get a chance to drive it, but just the experience of being in the driver's seat was great.

If I ever complain about getting around in Boston ever again, I should probably remember this video and shut my mouth...
...or at the very least, just focus on yelling at the other drivers on the road.
Married with kids...guess we can take trips to HK. ;)
We'll see how things pan out in the coming weeks.
Do you like Singapore in general? There's a long-shot chance that my wife and I would move there from the US.
Maybe not the worst, but the 2007 German GP at the Nurburgring certainly was one of the more memorable weather-related races. Winkelhock!
Leroy Watermelon and the Afrosheen Cadillac (via John Boy and Billy...seriously, listen to this):
See's candies FTW! All the way from San Francisco, since you can't, apparently, get decent toffee in NYC.
Shoulda picked up one of the "Monoposto" models while they were available. Mine get's a lot of compliments. I also picked up one of the Vallelunga chrono's a while back as well and it's a great [quartz] watch.
Hate it as much as you like, but nothing is easier to park with four wheels.
As I said, not quite as super easy, and if you wanted more reliability, you were better off with its more expensive Austrian sibling, the Steyr-Puch 500.
While the Prototipo isn't my cup of tea, I do own two Autodromo watches (the Vallelunga Chrono and the Monoposto) and love them both. The get the appropriate amount of attention from car and watch fans alike, standing out from the sea of other more "common" higher-end watches. I highly recommend anything Autodromo…
Interesting given Coulthard was always so vocal about driver safety.
And it's ruined for me...of all the places.
Damn.
Granted, it was for my wedding...but you can never go wrong with a classic car.
Agreed, in fact, the only run-in with "snootiness" in the couple events I've attended are the entitled kids of wealthy folks. This is assumptive, though, I can't say for certain whether or not these were actually "trust fund" kids.
Travis, it just occurred to me that all your shots at Laguna were behind the fence...no press credentials? What gives?
Incidentally, though, I'm in agreement; I never tire of that turn.
I'm doing quarterly finance review and 2014 tactical planning today. I'm clearly winning the "who has a better job" competition.
Reminds me of Steve Matchett's ride-along, though slightly less enjoyable...
Yup got mine back then too...when it was free!
Semantics to be sure, and I agree that no one drives the speed limit—I'd be lying if I said that didn't include me as well—but that doesn't justify it. Doing 70 on a turn marked 45 may be "spirited" and you may be Fernando Alonso, but the point is that it is on a public road where you have little control over…
