I love wine. But I always go for the less expensive bottles too. And you can get GREAT wines for a fair price. Find a wine store with a person who really knows wine. Describe the taste you’re looking for and your price point. Recommendations don’t always pan out but if you get a good person helping you, they will.

In my early years I was a letter carrier for the US Post Office. I was attacked by a dog and did exactly what they say: I took my mail satchel and held it in front of me so the dog would go for it and not me.

Born and raised in L.A. Now living in D.C. I could never live in L.A. again, but I love the city. First, it’s my history. Second, I know the city and come back often to see friends and the family. It’s really changed over the years. You can actually see the Valley (San Fernando Valley) more often than not, coming down

I use bookbub.com. Everyday I get an email with an electronic book or two that can be bought at Amazon or B&N for anywhere from free to $1.99, much below normal price. These deals only last a day or two before they’re gone. Bookbub let’s me know about them.

I am not a sommelier, but I have been wine tasting all over the world (and, believe it or not, Yuma, Arizona, which is not in this world). I have tasted very expensive wines but both my wife and I have decided we can get a very good wine for a lot less. One of the keys is to learn how to describe what you like—not the

If the alt-right thinks this ends their issues with anti-Semitism, think again.

This is a good question and my answer is one I now use when I talk about the working world to my 19 and 20 year olds.

Wow, that was nice. I’d hate to be in a meeting with you.

The answer is simple: take notes on what you want to say. That way, you won’t forget it.

When I had my first serious kidney stone I was in real pain (my sister, who had one when she was 8 months pregnant, said she’d have a baby any day over a stone), I just naturally thought they’d see me right away. I even got in front of a mother with her young child (pain makes you do crazy things). The nurse looked at

Very rarely do I have to wait for a room if I arrive early. Now, I may not get the bed I originally booked. But if they have a room, they let me know without any problem. Of course, I don’t arrive 8 hours early.

I want a devise small enough to attach to my glasses. Help me.

Both The Washington Post and the New York Times have instituted a similiar feature on their websites.

I don’t think you understand. I love working from home because I get to be a hermit. True, I also have a regular cubicle at the office. But I love to telework because it’s quiet and less distracting. I get a lot more done when I work from home. (I also work longer hours just because I’m home.) I do a lot of editing

This is a related tangent. Often I forget to chill white wine. If I’m in the mood for a glass but want to chill the wine quickly, I will poor the wine into a cocktail shaker with eyes. Give it about 2-3 shakes and quickly pour it out (don’t want to dilute it). Works like a charm.

Oops. I read the end. Okay, you’re not so talented.

You are one talented person. And I don’t mean your list of accomplishments. I hope in real life you are a writer. If not, you should be. Stop wasting your time on writing wonderful comments. You could be making your living this way.

I agree. We keep hearing how they “appear” to have done something. But that’s as far as it ever goes.

“Appears to have violated...” Just tell me when someone in the cabal gets indicted. You know, when the GOP talks about bad federal workers, stop being hypocrites.

By this logic one might say that they empathize with the President because he’s hurt inside. Sorry. When it comes to as*holes, I either come up with a great retort or walk away. I have no empathy for people who take out their personal problems on others. In my book, everyone’s entitled to their anger, no matter how
