There’s a Randall’s there. It’s the Houston version of whatever your local Safeway/Shaw’s/Albertson’s affiliate is, and they open at 6.

The early local news reports said that shots were being fired at cars on a residential street behind the strip center across the road and that the emergency vehicles and response teams were staging in the Petco parking lot. But I’ve also heard “shooting at the Petco.” Maybe one then the other?

At least one local news station is tweeting that downed shooter “was a lawyer having issues at his law firm. So far he has not been named.” I don’t know anything about this area, so I have no idea if there is any law firm anywhere around the Petco/Walgreen’s etc.? If this is a “workplace-related” shooting it sounds…

I’m really confused about the location and the hour of day it happened. The stores in that shopping center wouldn’t open until 9 or 10. And the overhead shots in the linked story only show a couple of cars there, so it doesn’t look like there’s a breakfast place in that particular stripmall. So, what was his point?
