Usually with kickstarter board games it’s better to get them from the KS project as they’ll often throw in a bunch of stretch goals including models that will then be sold as individual products later. So your initial $100 investment get’s you more models. You should keep an eye on it and see what’s coming model wise…

KD:M is the one kickstarter I regret not backing - but it’s such an expensive product now even by miniature board game standards. Untouchable mini’s though, easily some of the best in the business.

Namco probably shopped around the idea of making a board game to a few companies and they went with Steam Forged - who have already produced a good game on Kickstarter, have good miniature production and sculpting and understand the board game community.
