Hey bro. Remember to not let raleighrobot1 sort your Netflix queue.
I watched the pilot. It was atrocious. I'm actually astounded that Amazon is moving forward with it.
The first thing I thought of was Aeon Flux. There wasn't even dialogue in those first episodes, just short depictions of this totally strange yet intriguing world. And then you've got this awesome character involved in totally badass antics that draws you in.
Cowboy Bebop
About as literal an example as you can get for this prompt, I think...
Why on Earth do educational guidelines "gall" you? You would rather there were no mandate for teaching heliocentrism, for instance? Of course there should be guidelines, science education is not a free-for-all in which teachers can teach anything they want.
David Bowie says fuck your freshly baked cookies!
As someone who is watching this for the first time, the first season is boring as hell...it took me three attempts to get through it. The second season where I am right now however, is brilliant.
I actually love the end, but man that first season was just the best. Just the first episode of the first season, 33, was such a perfect hour of television.
Man, LOST really did have some epically embarrassing wigs. Locke's and Younger Ben's were particularly bad.
Dexter's "youthful" mop top....never forget.
Find yourself somebody who will make half of the light-switch rave sound effects and you've got yourself a makeshift rave anywhere.
The sons of bitches....
I just didn't want it to end.
This is the infringement of Watterson's copyright we want, but pissing Calvin is the infringement we probably deserve.
I argue Locke's complete and utter tragic end, while sad and disappointing from someone who cares about the character, was actually one of the highlights of the series for me. It's not often that we get to see a main character fail so utterly. You may have wanted to see him succeed, but to watch him ultimately fail…
That's not fair. A 77% rating on RT is actually pretty good (Cap1 has a 73%). On the other hand, that was the audience rating. Critic rating for MoS is 55%, which is not good (Cap1 has a 79%).
Of course you should be worried. You hated the style of MoS. It made a ton of money and is currently sitting on a 77% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. So this is likely to be more of the same with minor tweaks that I doubt will be enough to turn you around because they won't change the essence of Snyder's vision.
