I am beginning to feel that Harmonix will go the way of westwood and maxis... except this time it's more geographical based.
Wow. From a teleporter that ended up sending in alien invaders to a device that destroiy all life in universe. Nice going, geeks.
Wow... Metroid 3 and Nights is donotwant?!
P.S. I do like Drummania, be it its difficulty (fuck those casual), the DM setlist, and interface. Just not the height of that hihat. Unfortunately, the only going of RR's drum is the difficulty and interface.
Oh, for those that say "But it's like drummania!" Try to do crosshand on HH in DM (especially Asaki songs... oh boy); unfortunately, RR drums also suffer the low hi-hat problem. Another issue is that it also forces peopel do be right handers no matter what
@N1tch: But it's different, isn't it? First, Activision is a much bigger company. Secondly, music game is now "in" compare to back then. Yes, lincensing issues do and will occur, but it's been improving.
Wow. Now I don't even have to MAKE Dragon Blade considering how many GF/DM midis are out there.
@Troubadour: I hope you are sarcastic when you talk about Guitar Freaks. It's way better than RB and GH.
@damatman: They are bad songs to begin, and is cover. I think it's far better to cover your own J-rock songs with GHWT.
Well, on the bright side, it's only 50 dollars for the game... with a drum that is likely suck... and all cover songs...
@Coxswain: Don't agree. It IS the song to play if you can handle it (If not, go for One or Before I forget). Even more fun with drums, I bet. If experience on Drummania tell me, prepare for flying drumsticks.
I played RB1 and was disappointed not only in the lack of difficulty of the game, but also the lame selection of the song. Sorry Hamronix you guys used to rock but Neversoft really owns the genre.
Seems like GHWT is focus on Wii while RB2 is focused on 360. Let's see how this turn out...
@Lazlo: Not as much as Bemani (DDR/ITG/GFDM), btu I somewhat suspect they and GH elitist are NOT mutally exclusive. Example: ITG players always prefer to play it alone on the cabinet, even if friends ask them to play together.
According to EbGames, Wii version of RB2 is getting the RB2 on November, not october. So as a wii owner, take three guesses to what I am getting, and first two don't count.
@strix: If they make a movie that use the plotline of GH3, that would be okay. But a movie actually about GH? Stay, the heck away.
Shouldn't we be looking for a hot teacher instead?
@Atachi: Well, it will... when Jack Thompson actually have power to decide what games are appropriate and what is not.
@robinandtami: That was a reference to a famous dystopia short story, where, in order to make us equal, decide to make us dumb, ugly and nonathletic by numerous handicaps, including but not limited to annoying beeps, lead weights, mask, and even lobotomy. What he means is that this show is stupid, but is forced to…
