Wow, a movie reviewed by the AV Club from my country of residence? Well wonders do amaze me.

As if we, the US, is one to talk. Remember Reagan and Schwarzenegger?
The Emmys finally lost my viewership when they snubbed Tatiana Maslany, Hannibal, and Rectify. It would take Amy Poehler winning an award to win me back.
All these mentioned family members are weird enough to populate one bizarre family reunion movie (or maybe a television series).
I got Hannibal vibes from the rendezvous point where Sarah meets Leeky for the first time. It reminds me of when Hannibal and Will went to Hobbs' workplace in the pilot. But given that both are filmed in Toronto, the deja vu makes sense.
It's my first time hearing this song and yeah, I'm pretty much won over by it. Great choice!
It's not quite a rock song and it's a song specifically for Portland, Oregon but I love Esperanza Spalding's "City of Roses".
Anything I'd add here would be superfluous but wow Wonderfalls was better the second/third time around. I wonder if it would translate well into a webcomic…
Thanks! I just finished the first episode of Rectify. I wasn't too certain at first about sticking with it but now I'm going to see it through and not just because of how the episode ended (which I had a sneaking suspicion about). I especially like the familial relationships; they're wonderfully presented.
Plan to watch: The Americans with my folks sometime next month since they should be so familiar with the 80s time period. Also, Bunheads over Christmas with my ballerina sister, and maybe Orange in the New Black, out of curiosity, given that my Facebook friends' feeds are all about the show.
I'd love to sort through albums of the 1980s to the present. From grade to high school, I didn't have any taste in music, like almost zip, because I didn't feel like I connected with my peers' tastes (usually heavy metal, sugar pop, etc.) so I made the assumption that there wouldn't be any options for me.
Rest in Peace, Murray. You had a good sense of humor about yourself.
Starring Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
While "Totem Mole" breaks away from the ongoing love triangle plot, I appreciate this episode so much more with this second viewing. The hook for me was the topic of purpose, when Jaye and Bill were talking in the teepee about being special versus being normal. Aspects of the two were relatable to me at the time,…
Not greedy. Deserving.
Same here, @avclub-ee86f2eb94048ec21387d5b848337fa2:disqus .
Neil LaBute's TV series Full Circle. I'm interested to see if his play-like premise will work well on TV or not (hopefully it's good). The diverse cast of characters is a nice hook, too.
Good point about college and drugs. I feel silly for not thinking of that given that there were a couple of heroin-related deaths during my on-campus years.
Serious questions, guys: is it really for the best that Finn is suddenly revealed to be a drug user? Or is it even worse to ignore Mr. Monteith's real-life issues and say his on-screen character died of different circumstances, like an illness?
Is Candy Crush really that big a deal?
