Was it Little Sebastian?

About that “wood trim from some exotic tree”, my wife says, “It’s Sapele.” I’d trust her, since she designed that part.

If it didn’t work, dealers wouldn’t do it.

Thats the best idea for a beater ive seen out of all these.  I think it’s possible to get rav-4's and crv’s of the older generations with a manual.

It doesn’t have to be a serious off-roader, it just needs to have “soul.”

A first-gen Rav4, for example, would work fine.

Have you ever sold cars? I did, and we all know that every dealership has that one FUCKING guy that the managers hand every decent deal to. Every lot has some friend of the owner that gets 10 cars out a week to most everyone else 3-5... the Silver Spoon thats what we call him.

If he was scummy, there’s no way he would have been that successful. Sales people who do really well get there by positive word of mouth and repeat business.

Even in today's internet, I rarely see such emphasis on petty semantics. Congrats on the win

Those xBs were such great economical and space-efficient vehicles. I don’t understand why a thing like that isn’t in more demand, but for all the talk about interior space with CUVs, great packaging doesn’t seem to be much appreciated as they’re packaging is not very good while the xB is dead and minivans seem to just

America does get the Skyline. It’s called the G35/G37/Q50. It’s the exact same Skyline that Japan gets except it has the Infiniti badge.

But, parts availability will be an issue with the Skyline. He wanted something reliable. Not that the Skyline is necessarily unreliable or anything, but any 1990's vintage car is going to start needing replacement parts soon. And getting JDM parts for models that weren’t sold here can be hard to find depending on what

Or, he loves his wife and gave her first shot at a ‘nice’ car once they had the budget for one.  You can still be a car person and willing to make sacrifices (or make ‘the responsible choice’).

I understand the cult following and all... but if we are being realistic, a 90's Skyline isn’t going to come close to standing out beside a Corvette Stingray. To most non car enthusiasts it has about as much appeal as a Honda Prelude or Acura Integra... it's a great car, but would be tremendously overshadowed. I think

My ‘84 Subaru GLs were more fun to drive than too many performance cars I’ve driven. A worry-free basic car that you can drive foot-to-the-floor and drifting on ramps barely raising an eyebrow of law enforcement, that zoos could have chimps work on to keep them from getting bored, slowly wearing out $50 tires, and no

You’re assuming* that both cars were purchased with community funds or his funds despite his statements that “My wife has a 2014 Corvette Stingray, while I have a Nissan Versa Note.”

Skyline was the only right answer in this bunch. If you want to stand out next to a vette, then skyline is the way to go

Don’t buy anything.  Swap cars with your wife.  Problem solved.  Next, please.

He said 42" of headroom and I’m trying to work backwards from that.  I’ve never measured my fit into a car like that.  I’m 6'3" but the inseam on my jeans is 3', so that would be. . . 39" of headroom for me?  I’m fine in most cars, but legroom is really tight, and I have to slouch a bit in Miatas.  My dad is an inch

Seattle/Portland area these year Civics are very easily stolen. In Oregon it's not illegal to steal vehicles.

I totally understand the appeal of cars like this.
