I lived in Hawai'i for a year and a half. Lots of pigs, chickens and cows getting eaten, lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Did not see anyone eating cat/dog, nor was it ever mentioned or on a menu. Not sure what part of Hawai'i you were visiting.

Well people eat chickens, pigs, cows, etc here. How is that any different? Pigs are even smarter and more personable than dogs.
