I’d say a lot of people have a level-headed assessment of Black Panther in these comments that they are offering as a counterpoint to the author’s uncritical praise for the film. 

Nothing to hate, and i don’t see a lot of hate just rightfully pointing out that it is a movie with a laundry list of issues; plot, pace, acting (sadly from CB who was the weakest amongst all the principal actors), formulaic and predictable to the point of tedium.... ..... . In other words a Marvel movie.

No one is saying that. They’re just saying it was not the best film of the year and I’m one of them. Not loving something doesn’t mean you hate it.

Totally agreed. Black Panther was noteworthy but not especially memorable.
