Any tips on how to get to drive it without the pesky salesperson coming along for the ride? I can only think of one or two times a salesperson just handed me the keys and said go ahead - without even asking them. Seems though that they really don't give you an option anymore...

To my recollection, when I owned a 5.0, Ford never honored much that went wrong under their warranty anyway. So, I'd say this statement from Ford shouldn't be taken too heavily!
