Well, yeah. Get investors to give you tons of cash, fail miserably, keep the cash with no consequences. That’s how things work now.

Apparently, I’ve been going about this life thing all wrong. Instead of doing hard work, I should have been coming up with grandiose yet unprofitable business ideas to make money.

This is one of the fundamental problems with modern capitalism. It shouldn’t be possible to make billions off an unprofitable concept.

I hope the trend of having to load pages on Jalopnik and other GMG pages several times to get the comment section to load goes away soon. I’ll take the “slideshow articles” as long as the comment section loads on the first try.

Parrot what you will about “Easy Mode”. I don’t care. I like my DCT, and so does my busted-ass left foot.

Good.

That’s exactly the problem it would seem. You’re not a true Jalop if you don’t row your own even when the auto is faster and better apparently.

I don’t get all the hate on automatics here. I understand the argument if it was like 20 years ago, but technology has advanced and automatics are better in almost every way IMO. You lose the mechanical factor of shifting, but that’s a tradeoff I’ll take almost every day.

I think we all realize that trucks are necessary for lots of jobs, and are thankful for their utility.

I would also add the LC500 to its list of competitors, especially because it would be really close between that and the 911 if I were shopping in this segment. The BMW isn’t even worth going down to the dealer and sitting in compared to the 911 and LC IMO.

It’s obvious why it’s a dud. It’s boring for a flagship.

Seems relevant

A young person liking a Lincoln is the best news Lincoln has heard in 40 years.

A winning lottery ticket. A new GT-R would make a nice daily driver for me. Other than that car, nothing in the current lineup is even remotely interesting. Boring sedans, crossovers, an ancient midsize pickup, and a full-size truck that is worse in every measurable way than its competitors. If the Xterra were still

Everyone here says they’ll buy that, and then waits until it’s going for 10K used and wonder why no one is selling it new.

such lean

I actually don't find this that funny. I mean in the 1980's the cold war was still going on....I mean, this video was made *before* the TV movie "The Day After" aired. Nuclear annihilation was still a fairly probable scenario when this was made. I mean think of it in terms of "If we're given a 10 minute warning

I assume Turner was still thinking nuclear Armageddon here, so you'd play this when the incoming Soviet/Chinese missiles were 1 minute from impact, and all across America you'd be snuggled up with your loved ones on the couch waiting for the final crescendo to follow the end of that song.

I wonder how many people actually remember that TV stations used to play the national anthem at the end of their broadcast day.
