I have a major thing for women wearing baseball caps. If they have a ponytail or ringlets around their ears, that is a major plus. Not sure where it originated.

If you trim the shrubs, the tree looks taller.

I'd also argue that it is about cultural awareness. Certain gay and lesbian signifiers exist, and if you are tuned in to what those are, then you are more able to tell if someone is likely gay or lesbian. They can be subtle, or overt. I think that many commenters here are conflating signifiers with stereotypes.

I agree with everything that you wrote. I do think that Oscar's Aladdin portrayal was a (maybe) moment of satirical accuracy- I think that it is very likely that a Disney on Ice production would cast any "ethnic" person as Aladdin, and congratulate themselves on their embrace of diversity. "Hey, at least we didn't

I don't think that Frank wanted to pass on the crack to preserve his liver. I'm pretty sure that he wanted to keep Bianca from doing it. I'm not sure whether that was to preserve some sort of purity for her in his estimation, or if it was to discourage her death-seeking behavior, or to moderate it somewhat.

Little Feat backing up Robert Palmer on "Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley" is Meters-level funk.

It was, but the audience sucked during Sonic Youth. A lot of people were there to hear Neil Young play his greatest hits from "Harvest" and there were a lot of boos when SY came on. Then Neil Young came on and played a bunch of ear-splitting feedback jams with Crazy Horse, which was awesome, with the added benefit of

Loved Scissorfight! New Hampshire sludge really should have coalesced into a scene, but it never happened.

I caught that gig in Cologne, but Kluster filled in for Kraftwerk.

Was is Soilent Green, the NOLA based grindcore band?

"Seven Mary Three" was Jon's callsign on CHIPS!

She's already working for Showtime. She wrote the theme to "The Affair".

EHG shows don't translate to big venues. They're essentially a punk band, and were also collectively in the throes of major-league opiate addictions at the time that you saw them. See them now in a club setting, and you're in for an incredible show.

I went to see R.E.M in the mid 90's to see Radiohead open, but spent all of Radiohead's set pre-gaming in my friend's VW bus. R.E.M was mediocre, at best. Another time I went to see the Dead Milkmen, because Mojo Nixon was opening. He was great, and then they were great.

I prefer "clam jammed".

That's true! For the most part, everyone looks pretty good these days. I was just down in Florida, on the beach, and everyone, regardless of body-type, looked great in their swimwear. Maybe it was because the winter has been so brutal this year, but I'm choosing to go with a general uptick in attractiveness as the

She looks and acts so much like my ex-wife (who made me miserable) that just seeing her onscreen gives me a burning pain in my stomach. Otherwise, I can understand the appeal.

The Pre-Raphaelite "Ophelia" pose of Ian in the swimming pool was pretty, but seemed a little obvious and heavy-handed to me.

Great question, and why I think that a Sally-centered show would be so compelling. A Soprano's style therapy session in each show would be a cool framing device to explore Sally's response to her upbringing. How about Jeff Bridges in the shrink role? He could be an L.A. based new age therapist.

I'm all for a Sally Draper series, maybe set in the 1990's.
