You know, it's weird, but to me the easiest View Askewniverse film to revisit is Mallrats. Probably because it doesn't have the almost embarrassing earnestness of the obviously better Chasing Amy.

My biggest problem with Dogma (watching it today) is there are too goddamn many characters. Chris Rock is entirely unnecessary (and not very good) and all of his lines and interactions should have been given to Alan Rickman

I like Jersey Girl well enough, and I was a huuuuge fan of the View Askewniverse stuff. But Jersey Girl couldn't have had worse luck when it comes to the public perception of everything. Had the Affleck/J.Lo/Gigli thing not blown up so big, it could have been a nice turning point, even if it is too hammy by half.

Yeah, I trudged my way through it last night after starting it for the first time (and turning it off) about a month ago.

I can't even describe the disappointment I'll feel if The LEGO Movie loses the best animated feature to Big Hero 6.

I just looked up who that was, and I was refreshed to find out she's also a professional kiteboarder, in case the whole acting thing doesn't work out.
