As a Vita and before that a PSP owner who also invested in Nintendo portables over the years, the Vita very much felt like something Sony did to get investors off of it’s back. From day -1-, they really never got serious about it to the point where Monster Hunter ended up going to the Wii, the Wii U and then the 3DS

Yeah good old Sony and their proprietary tech, they used to LOVE doing that. Take storage format that is practically EVERYWHERE no thank you here is a new one that only works with our devices, and you can’t use anywhere else, though I think there were multi card readers that could read it.

The Vita was an amazing little handheld. It would have been great if Sony didn’t give up on it before it was released.

It was a massive failure because of Sony’s incredibly boneheaded attempts to force people to buy exclusive storage media at 5-10x the rate of the same amount on an SD card. The systems came with very little storage, and Sony really wanted people to pay out the ass for those memory cards. When people balked at paying

It was a massive flop, until five years later when Nintendo did all of those same things with one important difference: it released the Switch alongside Breath of the Wild.

Love both Olympus and Faxanadu!

Now playing

The opening scene on the bridge was intended to be a callback to the movie that kicked the series off.

But why is the rum gone?

I’ll see your whiskey and raise you an everclear

But why is the rum gone?

And, scene.

You are doing God’s work. Stay strong.

It’s not worse, because it actually makes a difference to meaning, unlike most grammatical mistakes. People’s grasp of percentages, in general, really could be much better, so I think it’s worth picking up on this kind of thing. Although I realise it won’t win you many friends...

Why drink whiskey when there's LSD?

Why drink vodka when there’s whiskey?

It’s Friday, who cares.

Why drink rum when there's vodka?

I drink stouts and porters that vary between 8%-11%.

That’s worse than correcting someone’s grammar. Know that people hate you for it.

Ah, percentages and percentage points. 5% is not 1% more than 4%. It is one “percentage point” more. In percent, 5% is actually 25% more than 4%. It’s Friday, who cares.
