"Man Who Fell to Earth" Rip Torn should come with a warning..
Huh, nice to see this old tourist trap get some attention. It has been noted that it has lost some of its teeth over the years through kitsch and commercialism as well as a minimal budget but as a kid growing up in San Jose and it being a place I passed in our car on a regular basis, it scared the hell out of me. Or…
Green Arrow was created in the forties in response to vigilante/detective gadget hero genre (batman) and was in More Fun comics. This later was merged with DC. This is even addressed in a recent story arc where GA tells Batman something like, "we'll go to the Arrow Cave in the Arrow Jet" and Batman goes.. "Ok, Arrow…
Neighbors.. hm. Hey, Alf existed as a show. My Favorite Martian as well. Formula is often called formula because is consistently works. I accept the existence of this show. I'll take this over reality tv
yeah I have had this conversation with a few people. We cook pork tenderloin where I work at a nice cool 145 inside. It carry over cooks to about 150-55. This i perfectly up to health standards now and american health dept standards are ridiculously paranoid as it is
I suspect the reference to the firewood deforestation thing could be charcoal trading. Very common in African nations and it is devastating. To humans and the forests. But even that is minimal compared to commercial scale logging for large timber.
So, did one of those headstones say, "Hardwood"? *snort*
"but some continued to suck at the slit." too horrifying to even find the dirtiness in that sentence.
There is a Hayden in our family, I love him though :)
Is it one of the "-ayden, -aiden" names? Jayden, Hayden, Brayden. etc
Thank Heaven for Rick Baker. He still keeps the latex and foam monsters in movies relevant and important. CGI is fine and such but this, this is high art.
What is Amber Lamps in Chinese?
As others have noted, the problems with SW prequels are far from inconsistency of tech and fx but I must ad, the whole "Used Universe" principle of the original series. Some suspension of disbelief is allowable but I think the argument that "things were better before" as an explanation of the prequel time. Kind of a…
Attila from The Dig always has a place in my heart. That and sinister German archaeologists..
Not to be "that guy" but I guess I will, in the story of David and Goliath there is no mention of his stones being "blessed" or "magic". At most David offers up a prayer for his own strength and generally asks his god to help him. But historically, the slings was a vicious little projectile weapon in the hands of the…
Many would nit pick and say Canada IS in America, some are merely part of a United States of it.. but of course, I know what you mean. Just being jerky
Of course it would feature 3 jawa and a womp rat
And I really just hate that stupid foley sound. Heard it tonight on an ad for insurance...
Ugh. I hope it's just for that little short, but having the "giggling kids" foley sound really grates on my nerves. It's the wilhelm scream of children sounds, but not charming in its use. (scene pie stealing brother running)
Her accent? Is it a general dislike? Or do you question the authenticity? The voice actress is Kelly McDonald, from Trainspotting, very Scottish. I wonder though if she "thickened" it attempting to make it all old fashioned and legendary sounding
