I gotta agree... And it seems like carrying a lighter would be a lot less to carry than the ferro rod and fuel soaked cotton balls. How many cotton balls would you need to carry to start the same number of fires as a standard camping lighter? (Hint: A lot)

Doesn't anyone fact check any more before writing these articles?

I agree 100%. My vote is for the WD.

Seriously? io9 should know better...

Lithium batteries won't let you fully discharge them. They almost always include protection circuits that disconnect the battery before it reaches the danger zone. This is why devices that use lithium ion batteris don't "run down". They run fine until they reach the danger point and then they cut off completely…

"Your car does not know how fast you are moving forward, it uses your wheel rotations to calculate your speed."

It does have a turbo. The article mistakenly listed naturally aspirated.

Cummins new strategy is to lower emissions by producing larger engines with less power output per liter. That's why they switched from the old 5.9L to the new 6.7L which produced practically the same amount of power. This engine is meant to be smaller, less powerful and more efficient.

Apparently this doesn't work so well on Samsung phones, which is probably the most dominant brand, nor does it seem to be available on the latest release of Firefox... so it seems like a pretty limited audience can really use this.

You can get A-list very quickly (I got it with 4 business select round trips).

I've never been sunburned through clothing, even wearing wet white t-shirts floating in a river for 6 hours in the Texas sun. But after 4 hours of wearing SPF 90+ my exposed skin is burnt to a crisp.

leetox is exactly right. The taxes and fees usually are itemized. The legislation was to try and force airlines to disclose up front the other fees that the *airline* charges on top of the base fare.

That's what "reasonable" in "Yes, if the price is reasonable" means: if the service is "worth" it it makes the price "reasonable".

"In fact, prices at drug stores like CVS and Walgreens were often even higher than they were at the supermarket—weird, huh?"

Ummm... Why wouldn't you just use the *invite* feature and invite the person to the event using Google calendar... That sends them a nice email where they can say "Yes" or "No" to tell you if they are going to attend or not.

There's more than enough research out there to show that buying new is almost always a bad deal. There are always exceptions, but in this case the exceptions are so rare they are almost irrelevent. But you are right, there are always exceptions.

The 4.0 inline 6 cylinder was the most dependable engine Jeep ever made. They don't make it any longer but in a 7 year old Jeep the 4.0 would outlast the V8 twice.

You might be right about some of the other studies regarding aspartame, but not this particular study that Lifehacker is referring to, done by the American Diabetes Association.

"And, if you do charge it to 100%, don't leave it plugged in. This is something most of us do, but it's another thing that will degrade your battery's health. If you need to charge it overnight, use something like the Belkin Conserve Socket to stop it from charging after it's full."

That's my understanding as well... You'd think the Lifehacker writers/editors would verify this before publishing right?
