@GamerOfFreedom: Sometimes, advertisers pay based on views, not on click-throughs. Not sure how it works with the Gawker Network, though.

@akarpens: Assuming you're not talking about the beta, I think this is what you're looking for:
@qbxk: Ah, that's clever. :) Thanks.
What exactly is it that's blurred out in the picture of the building?
@Anay Katyal: As far as the UI goes, is there really a huge difference between 5 and 6? Nothing that's going to affect total pixels, anyways.
Using userChrome.css tweaks which put the Firefox button on the same level as your tabs, and turning on small icons, I've managed to get the Firefox 4 UI just as slim as Chrome. I haven't measured it, but it almost looks slightly smaller, actually.
@capsskinsterps: I tend to agree. While the gas grill can be quicker, there is something about the taste that comes with meat off a charcoal grill.
@mbkeller: I'd probably add JavaScript to the list. Beyond that, it seems like anything else would just be an alternative to languages already mentioned (different variations of SQL, Perl, Python, or Ruby instead of PHP, etc). So, as long as the school is not focused on the languages, so much as the general concepts,…
@Kaelri: Same here. I don't want anything too drastic, but Earthy is perfect for me.
@elsifer: You're not alone. I've heard people talk about those days that supposedly everyone has, where they wake up, and immediately everything is going wrong, and they just know the day will be bad. I just sit there and wonder what they're talking about. I don't think I've ever done that before.
This is something I've been thinking about a lot, and I'm not really sure if I want to censor myself or not.
These all look like great tips. I'm on an internship right now, and it's my first real job (although not a paid position). I've noticed that I absolutely hate being in the office all day. Fortunately, I have flexible hours, and permission to work at home some days.
Man, by the time XP is officially gone, it will be almost 20 years old (or around 15, at least). Insane.
What would be really awesome, is to have a USB Drive partitioned into a live-booting OS, and also just a normal data partition with files that you can access if you just boot into the OS already on the hard drive.
Just for the record, Dropbox is working on selective sync, so eventually, using Dropbox portable will be another option for #2.
@Melee: You mean with your POP accounts?
Haven't fully read the article yet, but if we're talking about *reasonable* paywalls like Netflix, sure. That's worth the money.
@kazemizuhi: Actually, it appears to be based on whether or not you have Aero enabled or not. If you disable Aero, the tabs are then lined up with the Firefox button, but the title bar also comes back. Looks even uglier, IMO.
Liking it so far. Don't count Firefox out of the browser wars yet!
@bornofdust: I'd agree that a balance between the two is best. Just be sure you have at least a basic knowledge of the code behind the visual stuff you're building, and don't 100% trust the WYSIWYG editor to do everything the best way, and realize that it could make a mess of your code.
