I am currently a software engineer at one of those big companies in Silicon Valley. I am also currently looking into what it would take to become a truck driver. Why? Because the money can be pretty good if you do long hauls, and I can drive forever without it ever wearing on me. The only limitations I would have are

Isn’t it Abercrombie and Fitch that hire “models” instead of Sales Representatives just so if you don’t look good enough, it isn’t discrimination. This happens everywhere.

This is so amazing! I have been looking at some used ones only to realize that most of the waterways I can go to have completely banned 2-stroke motors. I’m glad that they specifically call it out as having a 4-stroke as well.

Looks like he goes to BullShit High School anyways.

This may be surprising to hear, but prior to these lane splitting laws, it was actually legal for a car to share the lane with you as well, as long as there was enough space in the lane for you to both safely fit. I don’t know if there has been any terminology that relates to motorcycles specifically now, but it may

We were left to infer that was the range the truck could travel without refueling. So let’s break it down: Google Maps calls it 1,003 miles. Divide that by 48 gallons, it translates to 20.895; we’ll call it 21 MPG.

I accidentally bought a truck with a front bench seat and it was one of the best accidents I have ever made. The back of the seat folds down to essentially be just like a center console, but when I actually need to use it for a sixth person, the availability is there. Also, these trucks are so wide, you barely notice

The real question: Can it handle both AMERICAN and non-american sized cups? I hate it when my cupholders cant fit my Super-Mega-Ultra Gulp. But then sometimes I have one of those skinny Mexican Coke bottles and my American sized cup holders are too wide to keep it upright. Once they can solve this problem, all of my

Give a look around the http://www.xda-developers.com/ forums. There are (or at least were) a lot of people around there that were quite good at tweaking the Android ROMs. I have since moved to an iPhone and kinda left that scene, so I can’t help you much more.

The black smoke is an inefficient use of the fuel, not necessarily an inefficient use of the engine. Gas and Diesel engines differ a lot in how the power is actually made during the 4 strokes.

The build is going to cost the buyer $90,000, and that doesn’t include the price of the truck.

One more question: does Adaptive Cruise Control work with both electric and hydraulic brakes?

I would accept a Thorium plant as well. Thorium is much easier to get ahold of, and can’t be used to make weapons. So we would no longer have to pretend that Uranium was only being used for electricity.

There is a company specializing in exactly this in Silicon Valley. Or at least they are working on the hybrid aspect.

Now playing

Looks like it may be this? That is pretty cool.

Top Gear also did a Mercedes vs an 8 man tug-of-war team. Season 4 Episode 7 if you want to see man vs. machine.

They actually make it quite easy to pop the top off, or so I hear. The complete wiring harness is just a couple of quick-release connectors, and then the cab is held on by a set of huge bolts. Undo the bolts, disconnect the steering rack, undo the quick-release connectors, and it all comes off in one big piece.

Weight+Torque will win because of physics. Tug o’ war is generally won in cars by whichever has the most traction. More weight == more friction. Obviously tire choice and pavement options will vary that equation.

Connecting some weight behind it should make doing a burnout even easier!
