Downhill.

Where is the shifter? Oh, right, down in the console wasting space. The only reason to have a shifter down in the console is when you have a manual transmission. Get it out of the way of usable space!

Four wheel drive knob looks perfectly placed and shaped to be knocked off by a knee.

There are a couple of factors at play here. One of the largest ones is how the towing laws (and laws of physics) work in the US vs other countries. No, the laws of physics don’t differ, but the rules that need to be followed when it comes to towing actually do by quite a bit.

I can understand your feelings on this one. I live in Silicon Valley and drive “one of them diesels” as my daily. I have a boat and a trailer and need something that can get them where I want them to be, so that ruled out literally everything but a truck.

First time I ever realized that Traction Control on an SUV was quite practical was because of Cruise Control and a puddle.

China is doing a horrible job of filtering the internet. The only people that they are filtering it from are the people that don’t really want to do any of the things that are being filtered. The wonder of the internet is just how nearly impossible it is to block things. As soon as you close one path, 20 more open up.

I say this over and over again. We have a minimum age to hold office. We need a maximum one too.

Thats why I see things like convoys becoming a big deal at first. If your automated car notices (or a human occupant) that another one happens to be in front of it, it can make a connection with that vehicle and close in. Otherwise it keeps what would be considered a safe “human incident” distance.

If they follow the “unwritten” laws of the road, as well as all being able to communicate together, it shouldn’t be that bad. Someone comes up behind them, they move over to the right. Someone passes them on the right, they move over to the right.

Why is everyone missing that Chevy did this about a decade ago? They had a hybrid 1500, and no one bought it. They were likely a bit ahead of the times, as hybrid tech has come a long way since then, as has the stigma against it.

Portal Axles!

That one does make sense, although I have seen a ton of vehicles with blue tinted headlights. I actually had a set of bulbs that had just a little bit of blue paint on them to tint the light slightly more blue. Oddly enough, they lit things up in a much more visible way.

I actually didn't realize there were laws against grill lights. Why? The law hates rally cars?

The unfortunate part of the square wheel wells that GM/Chevy uses is that you have to lift the truck more to fit more wheel/tire. It wouldn’t look right if the gaps were huge just on the front and back of the tire to accommodate larger ones, so they have to go with what works when stock.

Dunno why, but this fake roll bar looks clean as hell. Maybe just a little bit more height out of those LEDs though. I could even go for a swap in of some old KCs.

Are these legit lights, or little marker lamps like the orange ones on the front of the Raptor?

I guess this all depends on what you consider luxury. My truck would likely be seen as an “almost” luxury truck just because it has been up-optioned with a bunch of the fancy toys. Most of that is because it is my daily driver, and as such I wanted something that was comfortable to drive around in.

In the 2016 Titan XD, the Cummins 5.0 will be tuned for 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque.

If that was real, it would still be ugly, but at least it would be cool.
