So who did the Navy hire to conduct their negotiations with Booz Allen Hamilton?

@cassiebearRAWR: Pff. Next you'll be telling me that scrapping a 15 year old diesel Golf and replacing it with a brand new Prius, isn't the most environmentally conscious decision.

@Crashproof: Indeed, the first commercial use of plastic was in the late 19th century as an ivory substitute, based on cellulose.

@GranMastaB614: Because the kind of person who goes out of their way to buy 100% bioplastic products is willing to buy a $35 case for their brand new iPhone.

I'm a fructarians and I only buy products made from things that have died or fallen naturally. I only support 100% petroleum-based plastics.

@FriedPeeps: I'm sure there are lots of people in your shoes, but at the same time I think you're projecting.

Not everybody wants a smartphone. Strange, but true. The Jobbsian image of the future does not hold universal appeal.

As a top predator, I approve of this message.

@GranMastaB614: Most bottled water in the US is NY municipal tap water.

@ericesque: The reason why Pluto is a silly example is because it's not really a failure of science. Reclassifying Pluto didn't change anything we know about science, it was really just a matter of consistency and semantics.

@ericesque: "Science" is often wrong. But it's still better than everything else. Except math. Math is never wrong.

@mjt308: Fring and Skype had a licensing deal, which is how Fring had access to the Skype network in the first place. Later, Skype claimed that Fring were breaking the terms of their agreement and canceled it.

@YourStarDoesNotMakeYouRight: The d-pad is garbage, despite that it's still better than the PS controller, because almost nobody uses the d-pad.

This is what I like about Microsoft: they don't design UI elements by doing whatever seems appealing to some designer. They bring in volunteers and measure productivity of a bunch of different ideas.

@baneyu: A photon is a wave function. Sometimes it "looks" like a wave, and sometimes it "looks" like a particle. But a photon is never a wave, and never a particle; a photon is always a photon. Its underlying nature is not straightforward to understand; talking about it being a 'wave' or a 'particle' is convenient

@Mike Z: Can you say 'teach me about photons and scattering?' Because, yes, yes I can! And you need to learn.

@CurisosityAteMyCat: No, that's gamma-ray imaging. Basically the same as traditional x-rays, except it uses higher energy radiation (gamma rays instead of x-rays) to look at 'harder' things than x-rays are good for.

I love the smell of vindication in the morning... The smell, you know that gasoline smell... Smells like, victory.
