I was obsessed with the catalogue, too. I remember spending hours poring over every little accessory.

My mom got my daughter one for her sixth birthday a few weeks ago and I think I was more excited than she was. I had the AGD catalogue as a kid and read it to tatters, but the dolls (and of course all the accessories you MUST HAVE) were too expensive. Thank god for Ebay existing today.

Not enough stars available in the universe.

I was thinking how nice and “real person” she looks here - something about her expression and the lighting? - and then realized that that harsh lighting against a white backdrop is a total indicator of Creepy Uncle Terry Richardson and now I hate everything.

Wow! I knew in the UK that Sprite and similar are “lemonade” but never heard of people using it for all soda.

I find this Dort of thing so intetesting, especially when there are weird overlaps. I'm from MA and don't say any of yours except cran.

Smash the patriarchy! Don't play the MANdolin, strum your CLITtar instead!

I work for a government related organization in Georgia. So we checked on what days they have as paid holidays, and no surprise, Confederate Memorial Day is one.

Oh, is that the “distinctive” license plate the police chief was talking about? I’ve seen this mentioned a few times but not what was actually on the plate.

I always say the same thing when this stupid argument comes up (which, as a Damn Yankee in Georgia, it does), but I’m wondering if there’s anything else? Not that I expect to change minds, but “Yeah, states’ rights to hold slaves” doesn’t seem to have much effect.

If you don’t mind me asking (as a northerner who’s moved to the south), do you have a good rebuttal to “But the Civil War wasn’t about slavery, it was about states’ rights!” So far my answer is “Yeah....states’ rights to own slaves” but I feel there is a better argument here.

That didn’t go the way I thought it would.

That’s the mindset of lots of people who donate to a nonprofit, unfortunately.

Thanks for this info - my hair is similar to yours (plus I live somewhere with lots of heat and humidity, so my roots get sweaty/greasy really quick).

Well there’s my motivation to finish this application for a job in Lexington!

I had completely forgotten who Jamie Cullum was and went a-googling, and the second autofill result was “jamie cullum height” so apparently lots of people are confused and frightened by this.

Amazing.

Maybe she can add a haircut that doesn’t look like my six year old got her hands on some scissors?
