Riverbottom Nightmare Band!
Um, I see a lot of people commenting about Patti being a 'hipster'? That's so off the mark, that it's kind of sad. First of all, she's 68, and that's an immediate disqualification.
Also, she was a pioneer in the early Punk scene, and one of the only female punk musicians/vocalists. She wrote poetry, a play with Sam…
This is probably to silly and irrelevant, but I couldn't help but notice that the actress that plays Melisandre had some serious work done. Of course, it makes her look worse.
They both look great. Ibwoukdnt be surprised if they've had injections of silicone or botox though. Many actresses do that but don't think of it as 'work'.
I dunno, it looks about as bad as I thought it would be. If a movie fails at making Chris Pratt charming, then it's a complete failure in my book.
Jane looks amazing. I'm sure she must have had work done, but it's subtle.
One of my favorite lines of a film ever. Next to: 'I can change you from a rooster to a hen in one shot!'
"Huang bemoaned the network’s approach, which was “to tell a universal, ambiguous, cornstarch story about Asian-Americans resembling moo goo gai pan written by a Persian-American who cut her teeth on race relations writing for Seth MacFarlane.” — yikes.
Right, which is really unbelievable since he's also a professional drunk.
You didn't need to state the obvious there, it came through pretty clear. The difference between Gosling and another artist approaching this material, is that Gosling has lived a privileged life in front of the camera. If he could empathize properly, then so be it. It seems that he hasn't though.
I was an adamant admirer of Robin's work. Yet somehow this seemed like an unintentional criticism of his stand up. Just my opinion.
I think he would find the comparison and 'shout out' amusing.
Wonderful observations here. I felt the same sense of vague disappointment, but I wasn't able to pinpoint it until I read your comments. Considering how calculated Weiner & Co.'s artistic choices have been, I quite believe that this episode served as some meta-commentary on this show's self importance.
Where ya going?
Don Draper is proof positive that sex addiction is a real thing. Probably his biggest vice.
This episode seemed especially inconsequential to me. Maybe it's because of the fractured season, but beyond the aura of Roger's mustache, everything seemed pretty status-quo. I'm shocked at Ted's bounce back, considering he almost killed himself and two others in the last episode. All in all, kind of a…
This must be that 'internet outrage' everybody is complaining about.
Right. I just use it because I'm 'stealing' my parent's log in credentials to watch my fave cable network.
'At this point, I think I’ve made this abundantly clear, but casting Jon Hamm as the reverend was such a strong move.' Hamm was the drama school teacher for Kemper and one of the writers on the show.
If a director can squander the talents of Ben Mendelsohn, than directing is not your thing. Also WTF does Gosling know about the perilous state of our housing market? He was a Mouseketeer for Christ's sake.
