How the shit haven't I heard of this before?

There are lot of comments here about Jon's decision being money based. I really don't think that's the case. I think he's exhausted by having to make a comedy show out of today's news. In his statement he said, 'This show doesn't deserve an even slightly restless host'. He's still relatively young, and also

Interesting, I didn't know about that interview. And it is unfortunate that the other actors you listed have all gotten passes. However, they've gone to great links to hide it.

I see your point now. And I agree that there should be more specific criticism of drone strikes. They don't - in the long run- make us safer. They just anger people who are already prone to dislike our country and our politics. With every devastating drone attack, we're enabling terrorist groups to recruit more

Peace doves? I'm not completely sure what that term means, but no pacifists that I know agree with our drone strikes. I agree that is essential for liberals and progressives to keep a critical eye on themselves, but the only channel that has people 'parroting' political talking points is Fox. The Daily Show often

'When will people learn? Democracy doesn't work!"

I'm a little shocked at the statements made by Caitline PenzeyMoog. I think we are inundated with POV journalism, and that was part of the inherent irony of The Daily Show and the also-missed Colbert Report. Both shows parody the type of pseudo journalism found on Fox News, CNN, and even MSNBC. I thought that was

Veep?

It would be amazing if the host gig went to a woman.

Well, he sure can't bring himself to 'come out'.

The story arc around internet trolling felt like it was trying to be "Meta" .

Carla Delevinge, since I believe the Tiana character to be referencing Rhianna (subtlety is not this show's bread and butter),

Poor and cowardly are great adjectives to describe this review.

"Empire’s biggest problem has been its inability to figure out how to tell self-contained, episodic stories."———- I disagree with this assessment of the show. This is a soap opera, plain and simple. Also, this was the best directed episode so far. Singleton did a great job of making the chaos look uniform. I want

Proof positive that Lorne has never been the elite leftist many people assume he is. I was really starting to look forward to the retrospective, as I've enjoyed some previous ones; the 15yr anniversary in 90 was my fave. There were many, many, political players who were featured on the show as impressions or even

Well, I've used this avatar for quite awhile. I find that it usually 'synergizes(?)' with most of my comments, though.

I really wish that I could find Doocy's statement funny. I must be getting my period or something.

This is one of the best FOC articles I've read. This reviewer is eclipsed by my previous 'go to' critic, AO Scott. It's refreshing to read an op ed piece that resists a complete POV perspective with a clear objective. Those have their place, but I much prefer reading these types of articles. Thanks Ignatiy.

I can't understand why The Americans wouldn't be top pick every Wednesday.

It would be great if Tom Hanks made an appearance. He's a movie star, sure, but so are many of the guests listed. He was such a memorable guest host through the mid to late eighties. John Goodman was a frequent guest too.
