Okay, I just realized that I read the original headline (both at CNN and above) and thought it said “NPR” rather than NRA. This at least makes more sense? Because it’s the NRA.

I thought he was really cute in The Tudors. I wish he’d just stayed there. Besides the fact that he’s apparently an all-around creep, there’s just something blah about him. In spite of his spectacular handsomeness, I would never have guessed he’d make it as a big Hollywood star. There’s no there there.

I’m not a New Yorker, so my opinion may not count for much here, but I’ll repeat what I’ve said before: there is a disqualifying arrogance in believing that you can/should step into a job - ANY job - at a very high level with zero experience. With very few exceptions (acting comes to mind) I believe in paying your

Think older and a lot more born-again. Though it didn’t stop her from having an affair with a married man!

Nah, she’s second wife because I never could bring myself to call her “stepmother.”

I have this weird psychosomatic reaction to hearing/seeing/thinking about the word “pinkeye” - my eyes start to water automatically. (In this case, I am not weeping in sympathy for Donnie Jr. - I wish him the most contamination-filled case of pink eye in the history of the condition.)

She was not a reasonable person. I have stories.

Um, who is that? Because I might be willing to.

I kind of understand your mom’s logic? Because I’ve fallen off a million diets that way.

Yep. Went through group sessions/Alateen and was aware (I was about 13 when the major rehab happened) that my mom was in Al-Anon being told she enabled my dad because she called him in sick to work. Because she didn’t want him to lose his fucking job because he had two children that needed financial support. I’m not a

So...Anne has an eating disorder?

I get the message on the video:

Oh, he’s full of shit, to be sure. The whole thing has always been kind of weird to me, maybe because I didn’t see it or maybe because it’s a breast, so who cares? Besides the FCC, I guess.

Dollars to donuts any man who announces “we’re pregnant!” will later refer to taking care of his kid(s) as “babysitting” and expect accolades for it.

God, what’s the opposite of gravitas? Is there a word that means, “negative amount of gravitas”? Because that would describe JK.

I legit was in the kitchen and missed it. My family gasped and I came out and was like, “what did I miss?”

Or Rick Perry. Honestly, the list of people who are too dumb and/or corrupt to be the writer is probably longer than the list of viable suspects.

No; in fact I thought I was agreeing with you. The privilege I am seeing is not that of “rich, powerful people of any race” but of rich, powerful MEN of any race, since all the people mentioned are men. I don’t think in an article that’s about a man sexually abusing a girl it’s inappropriate to bring up male privilege.

I think it’s “men” as in “male privilege”, since you yourself name a number of non-white men who have benefited from it.

Well, and they’re all men.
