Ahem. You mean the guy behind Talladega Nights and StepBrothers.

reformed evil genius, thankyewverymuch!

“I got to return some videotapes.” (of prisoners being waterboarded in secret black op sites)

As good a fit as that is, I’d argue that what Bale will really be doing is reprising his role as Patrick Bateman.

Asahd is among the most adorable babies I have ever seen (his big sparkly eyes and perfectly round nose, omgggg), and tbh, all of Khaled’s Snaps with the baby warm my heart and turn me to mush.

I’m so glad to read the other comments here. I have a friend that was absolutely gutted when they broke up because “they were perfect together!”. And I could never figure out how constant arguing and wanting completely different things out of life equaled “perfect”. And, I see a lot of that attitude in various comment

This show is hilarious, way better than I thought it would be, but I watch it every week just because it comes on after New Girl. Alba and Ben are the best.

Yeah, I was on board for Jess and Nick the first time, but they messed up by making Sam way too likable. He was a great fit for her and David Walton was really good at the role.

The Mick shouldn’t work as well as it does, but it does. The cast has been fantastic, and Ben, in particular, is killing it each week. Sure, it can get predictable - “the worst possible thing will happen!” - but the cast sells it every time. Another show that works for me is Trial & Error on NBC.

I was reluctant to try this show for a long time because of being against the whole manic pixie dreamgirl thing she has/had going on. And the first season does lean pretty hard into that, but it is/was a great show with an amazing cast and writing.

Honestly, I think that Nick and Jess function way better as friends than they do as lovers (hate that word, couldn’t come up with a better option). Their romantic relationship was a trainwreck, and not in a good way. They broke up for very good reasons, which were that they are both stubbornly themselves and want

This girl gets so many free passes and kudos simply because she is attractive. She’s an unethical businesswoman advising an unethical president. He’s using her as a shield while he pulls of his anti-woman antics.

“I don’t know what it means to be complicit”

Jeff Sessions on police reform: “It is not the responsibility of the federal government to manage non-federal law enforcement agencies.”

Unless it’s related to ICE or Marijuana.

I don’t want to sound like a hater because I was really a fan of the brand from the beginning but it’s hard to see someone like Amoruso being hailed as a champion for #girlbosses when Nasty Gal faced multiple discrimination lawsuits from former (female) employees.

whew, I thought for minute that The Baby Boss had already gotten a sequel...

...and now they’re going to be held accountable for what they did,” Johnson said.

The actual story behind the death of Kitty Genovese is both fascinating and very different from the legend. I highly recommend her little brother’s documentary, which is on Netflix. It’s called The Witness.

By “what they did”, he is clearly referring to the assault - the article / press conference are / were about the arrests (one executed, one additional warranted, and others to come as well), so that is the accountability he is speaking of - for the crime they committed. Do you actually believe the arrest(s) is (are)

“It just disgusts me that people would look at those videos and not pick up the phone and dial 911,” said Johnson. “It makes you wonder where are we going, what are we doing as a society that people would actually look at those crimes taking place and not pick up the phone.”
