How much more back could they be? The answer is “None.” None more back.

There's scepticism and then there's slating a movie that's barely been announced. The latter is snark looking for a problem.

I don’t get the negative tone here. As legacy sequels go, this makes a lot more sense than, say, a new Top Gun. You’re reacting to a hypothetical bad film that exists in your head.

30 Helens agree: the original theme song was a banger.

“Oh beautiful for smoggy skies, insecticidal grain, for strip-mined mountains majesty, above the asphalt plain. America, America, man sheds his waste on thee, and hides the pines with billboard signs, from sea to oily sea.”

Anyone with half a brain who even paid passing attention would know George Carlin was the least conservative human being alive during his time on this Earth.

I mean as a very lapsed catholic I have to say that they’ve had a LOT more time to do fucked up stuff .

I think Scientology is awful but I think evangelical churches and the catholic church have done way more damage on a societal level and are far far more dangerous, but they don’t get as much attention as Scientology and other weird cults.

Hey, hey, hey, now. Scientology’s very egalitarian. Man or woman, you’re free to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to pledge your soul to - checks notes - a failed science fiction author whose thickshittery nearly once started a war with Mexico in WWII.

Because she wants to hide the fact that she’s in an extremist cult from people who don’t know it.

I will mourn American Dad! whenever it goes. TBS apparently just let them go even more hog wild than before, and it’s paid off. Mostly. Not every episode’s a winner, sure, but I’m so glad it’s still around.

I’ve watched it, enjoyed it and also acknowledge that it’s not a documentary. Kareem stated in his piece that the characters are “one dimensional” which couldn’t be further from the truth. “Magic” is portrayed as a guy who has some business smarts but not life smarts, is small town but “big city.” And the other

So everything about this on a surface level screams show that it’s shifting from being about Lily Rose Depp and falling into a cult from a Woman’s POV to be rewritten to being about the Cult leader and presenting it from a man’s POV. Right?

If you can tolerate some very annoying kids (especially so at certain times), its a very good show. Just gotta remind yourself its a tv show and not real life because sometimes it gets hard to fight off the instinct of “omfg, these damn kids...”

Big Homophobia? How about Big Bestiality?
