I’d say that the subject matter, the drug use, and the language were all obstacles for his win. But, you know, QT did win the screenplay award. 

The Afterparty!! The Shrink Next Door is pretty good too. 

I guess I need to watch these documentaries now.

Hey, people talking about how Renee’s body and fat suit: she gained weight 3 times (and used a terrible British accent) to play Bridget Jones. Also, male actors gain/lose weight all the time for roles.  

Yep, Manscaped is a word and a specific brand of trimmer. 

I totally thought of The Impost watching that film. I don’t think it was very inventive or had anything interesting to say at all. And I was really looking forward to watching it. 

I guess not. I’ll look it up. 

Probably the best thing Steve Martin ever did on SNL

Look, I’m not a spoiler snob. But you really shouldn’t have referenced how this first season ends. Because it’s definitely a shocker, and considering many people don’t have AMC;  this is the kind of show people often catch up with later.

I believe she produced and developed that series, so I’m sure she wanted to continue. 

Right, and if there is, it’s not working for him in that way. Although his films have rec’d numerous nominations, he hasn’t one any Oscars or even and Golden Globes. 

I believe even PTA admitted that it should have been two different movies.

The Master MAY have some scenes in LA, but I’m not sure. It definitely wasn’t location specific movie the way so many of his other films are. 

Whoa, what an awesome dig at Joaquin Phoenix here. Harrelson’s speech was almost word for word to what Phoenix said when I rec’d his 2nd Oscar.

They’re still filming, or at leas t in very early post production. Filming was delayed. 

The season is being filmed in ABQ in a new Netflix compound. They traded Atlanta for Albuquerque, which makes sense financially. 

My favorite thing about Wright is that he always makes a stop on Comedy Bang Bang  when he’s doing the press tours.

Especially b/c it seemed to play very well with the audience for the dress rehearsal.
