C’mon now, lets try and be a little realistic here.

I know, right? There is a sliver of insanity inside GM where cars like this can be made, along with the CTS V models.
Fair point! These were indeed public roads. The ones we stopped for pictures on were the easy roads you see pictured. When things got tougher (but still on fire roads) we didn’t stop at all for photo opportunities. The roads were a bit too narrow at that point to stop like that.
Weirdly, there was none of the sickly sweet white steam that you usually see with a blown head gasket, at least, not enough for me to notice in the rearview mirror. That’s why I led myself to believe it was just a belt.
My mistake, replace C6 with C7 and C7 with C8 since I can’t edit the original comment.
I’m not sure if this is a new, or state, or company specific. I never left anyone on the side of the road. We even had extra cab trucks to respond to minivan full of people. I always carried extra bottle of water for “passengers” and even a small bag full of cheap plush toys for the smaller kids.
I agree, I am seeing more of theses on scenic drives on nice days and as much as I want to like them... I will get use to them. Still the performance/$ is outstanding.
The C7 is front engine. This article is about the C8.
A person at work has one. I think it must be a Z51 since it has the big wing.
I love to shit on GM almost as much as Jalopnik, but everything about the C8 seems like they hit it outta the park. And now this level of performance for that price is insane.
The new Z06 will help continue to cement the Corvette’s reputation as one of the best bargains in the performance world. With that said, after seeing a few C7s around town and about a dozen or so in Key West just recently, I can’t get behind its appearance and really prefer the Vette look on a front-engine car…
Just think of it as a blood orange. Or grapefruit. So you are driving a fruity car!
This is a (relatively) inexpensive, RWD, naturally-aspirated car that can hit 60 as quickly as some of the much more expensive, high-end AWD turbocharged or fully electric hypermachines can get there. Major hat tip to the engineers of this thing.
Orange exterior and very red interior? I guess they’re going after the same buyers of Lamborghinis with that combo?
This car fucks
point to a starting price around the mid-$80,000 mark.
The base C8 would be quite sufficient for the purpose of losing my license.
Oh you bet we’re talking to the previous mechanic. They’ve denied responsibility and have offered two rather incredible explanations for the engine’s death.
Was there no warning sign?
Nice write up.
I like the size and capability of the Forester, but they need an XT model again. Throw a turbo on it and it would be good.
