I mean, that fits with inflation somewhat well. The average new car in 2000 was about $22k, and an early RSX-S cost a little more than that. If a new car nowadays is averaging in the high 30s/low 40s, it would make sense for the high-spec integras to follow suit.

Never understood the hype behind Hondas and Acuras, especially from my best homie who was just adamant to get an Integra as his first car back in the day.

And then I picked up a DC2 several months ago and I finally get it.

Base 29-30K, A-Spec 33-34K. Type-S under 39K.

Look - if it’s a (slightly) more expensive CTR, with subdued looks - I’m very much interested.

My first car was a 96 Integra. It it still one of the most fun cars I’ve driven, and I’ve driven a ton of sports cars, old and new, RWD, AWD everything. You are just ignorant.

Everyone take note, this is how you make a commercial for an enthusiast vehicle.

Prediction:

I bet you call them “ricers” too

Incorrect take.

Thank god I am not your friend.

This needed to be said. Thank you.

Yeah, people have not left the workforce. They’ve left bad employers and bad industries. This whole out of the workforce thing is just right wing corporate propaganda.

Fuel injection, some suspension work, and there’s some real potential here for a comfortable car that I don’t have to worry about ruining the value by modding it.

I am going to base its appeal on something my dad said. When he was a kid, just learning to drive, he saw these new and thought they were cool as hell and wanted one of his own. He never got one - that’s due to personal priorities, since he could have if he really wanted to - but he always thought they looked sweet

Man, if only.

1st Gear: Good. I hope the workers can successfully negotiate a better contract that compensates them more reasonably for their labor.

I have no idea what these cars are supposed to be worth, because... I feel like perhaps I’m too young to care? (I’m 34.) I feel like it was the Gen X’ers who were the last people who really carried the hot rod torch.

I think I just saw this cars history. Follow the signs:

* New Hood
* “New” Engine
* 4 on the floor (unlikely to be stock setup for a 4 door 210)
* Aftermarket Tach
* New Interior
* New Gas Tank
* Old and rusty Slapper Bars
* Mid-chassis discharge exhaust

My guess is that someone was bracket racing this thing in the 70s or 80s.

They were.  I rarely see that now.. at least outside of big name auctions.  As the boomers who love these die off, these are gonna drop like a rock.  So if you like em, give em 10-15 years and pick one up for pocket lint.

‘57 Chevy’s are overrated, overhyped, and overplayed. (And as a boomer I guess I’m supposed to swoon over them.) I never did get the attraction and this one has way too many warts for the price. ND.
