Normally I say SEP, No Dice. But the fouling is a thing. If as you say, it’s carbon fouling, I’d go ahead and snap it up. Might be no more than a leaking carb float. If it’s oil fouling, either pass or install the SBC you have sitting on a shelf; it’s been done before so it isn’t like nobody knows what to do, and you

All cars were slow and mediocre from this era. If speed and handling are what you desire then anything from the malaise era is a really bad idea.

This HD holds no specific interest for me, but the notion of the quick fix and you’re on your way does! My first bike was a ‘82 Yamaha Seca 650 purchased in ‘92 for $250 from an old guy who was a tinkerer (mainly lawnmowers) and had three other Yamaha’s in his garage. He thought he got taken on this bike because it

Welcome!

That said, I’ll be moving to Detroit very soon.

At some point F1 is going to have to decide if they really need to be the force that transforms our passenger vehicles.

current F1 engine regs are an interesting mix right now.

some of the technological restrictions in place mean effectively limit the utility of a lot of that engineering genius.

supposedly for cost reasons, each cylinder is limited to a single fuel injector 2 intake and 2 exhaust valves and mechanical camshafts. given

Bloatware, this stuff us just bloatware on wheels.

Rather sad actually. For an F1 associate to have such incomplete logic is confounding and unfortunate.

Speaking as a human, and I don’t mean to offer myself as a focus group of 1, but we’re getting over-teched.  So automakers, please take the hint.

Is this unique to cars, though? How many people use all the tech they buy in a cell phone? Or a computer? Or a smart watch? Or software?

I could have told them that. Heater, ac, cd player, power locks and power windows. That is pretty much it.

I’m not the target demographic for a two-in-front-trike but my spouse — someone who loves the open air of riding but isn’t comfortable on two-wheels — absolutely is

Why, it’s everyone’s favorite Italian Mustang, the 2001 Qvale Mangusta.

Love the casual Qvale Mangusta shot.

As a 2 wheel rider myself, I do imagine there’s some benefit to not having to worry about a few bits of gravel mid-corner causing a sudden end to your day and never worrying if someone might bump into and topple my ride in a parking lot.

I got to test a Spyder for a full day when they were first launching way back when, enjoyed it much more than I expected to, and have heard nothing but good things about the Ryker. I’m not the target demographic for a two-in-front-trike but my spouse — someone who loves the open air of riding but isn’t comfortable on

The advantages/disadvantages depend on the buyer. Trikes don’t require balancing and don’t require committing to motorcycling, perfect for people who have disabilities or don’t want to learn to ride. At least where I live, Can-Ams are the choice for people who do crazy mods (subwoofers as big as the darn bike, gold
