I am also 40 and lowest I've ever heard of is 87.
I am 40 and have never seen or even heard of 85 octane before this article.
I hope nobody reads this as using E85 is the same as 85 octane. E85 is 85% ethanol, but has about 100 octane level or more.
re: motorcycles, I think that’s almost entirely Brownell’s baliwick at this point, although Mercedes Streeter pops in with reviews from time to time. For the most part, “2 wheels bad” still seems to be the prevailing attitude toward motorcycles here.

Motorcycle stuff? You guys are still quite light on that content.
I actually laughed out loud
A slideshow of the previous week’s slideshows!
The fact that he was driving around with a box of spares in the back is a warning all by itself.
This car brings back memories; my mom gave me her 86 Escort 4-door hatch (which was worth basically a bit more than scrap) at a time when my current car was falling apart. If I’d known what a piece of garbage it was, I probably would’ve passed on it. This car had the 1.9l gas motor, and even it was gutless. change…
If I told my wife I paid $590 for an escort, I’d probably have to get a divorce.
I don’t think you quite grasp how truly abysmal the gearing and power delivery was on that car.
A friend of mine owned one of these, albeit with the gas motor and automatic, so a less than ideal powertrain. When he bought his replacement car, I had to drive it through a valley. I floored it to get up a hill, it made much noise but by the time I reached the top it was going 20km/h less than at the bottom.
That’s funny because last year was the year I decided to finally start following MotoGP and boy I couldn’t have picked a better time.
Swapping the power unit and still getting 2nd in Sochi definitely gives Max a considerable advantage on paper. You gotta think Max will try to take the next 3 or so races to lock up a win and Mercedes will run their current PU as long as they’re in contention, so they’re running a worse car with a worse engine but a…
I’m a Max fan (and have a ton of respect for Lewis), and you hit it right on the head here. Had Max assessed the situation in Silverstone properly he would have remembered he walked away in the sprint race and had no need to defend on Lap 1 as hard as he did. At Monza, I think he was just really pissed at the shitty…
I am a Lewis fan. My money is on Lewis just because he has done it and his car is competitive enough. Max talks a good game, but the last 2 crashes hurt him in the points. I do not know if he understands that he has the better car and doesn’t need to pass in difficult situations. I fully believe that he would have…
Let’s see...all show and no go? Boy racer’s spoiled wet dream? Cop bait that the cops can catch on foot?
