I had one of these as a rental around this time and honestly... I really enjoyed it! Fun handling little commuter car that was enjoyable to drive. Always kind of wanted to pick one up as a cheap commuter car.

I remember driving/being in these generation Escorts and uphill on-ramps/trying to merge onto a freeway was honestly kind of terrifying.

Totally agreed! I’m single and it would have made a great city/commuting car. Plus I already ride motorcycles so it’s like having a neat hybrid between my car and bikes haha.
